Nearpod

If you have ever used a powerpoint presentation in your classroom then Nearpod is a way to kick it up a notch.  Nearpod allows you to take existing powerpoints, or Google Slide presentations and make them into interactive classroom presentations.  You can imbed all kinds of questions that students have to answer before they move onto the next slide. 
Regular powerpoint presentations sometimes leave you guessing as to just how much students are taking in.  Now when you ask questions during your presentation you know your students are listening because they have to reply before moving on.  
Embed multiple forms of questions or add outside content from other educational sources.

Edpuzzle

Edpuzzle is much like Nearpod in how it collects responses from students.  It allows you to use multiple video formats and embed questions throughout.  There is no need to create your own videos.  You can link videos from Youtube, Ted Talks, National Geographic, Kahn Academy, and many others.  Use it for formative assessment, differentiated instruction or simply to present information and be sure students grasped the concepts.
You can create your own Edpuzzles or choose from thousands of precreated videos other educators have already used.
